1. Click your profile icon at the top-right and choose “Manage your Google Account.”
2. On the left menu, select “Data & privacy.”

Hi, I'm trying to delete my account. Issue is that google keeps asking me to verify myself with an old phone number that I've been stopped using since 2012. Even I changed the "Recovery Phone Number", it still asks for verification with the 2012 old number. I have no way to solve this. Please help
You can try this:
1. Go to the Phone section of your account
2. Select to Delete your number
3. Go to Recovery phone section and add the new number
4. Repeat the same after selecting Google's Gmail service
